Architectural Window Film is applied to residential, commercial, office, public-building, and curtain-wall glazing to manage solar radiation, infrared heat, ultraviolet exposure, glare, and glass breakage risks. Depending on the application, the films may use high-strength polyester substrates, precious-metal sputtering layers, multi-layer dual-silver structures, exterior-grade weather-resistant constructions, or low-reflectivity optical designs.
The range includes Safety & Security Window Film, Premium Solar Control Window Film, Residential Solar Control Window Film, Exterior Window Film, Commercial Solar Control Window Film, and Low Reflectivity Window Film. These products differ in film thickness, solar-control structure, reflectivity, installation position, and building application.
Core Functions
Architectural films can reflect or reduce part of the infrared heat entering through glass, helping manage solar heat gain and reduce cooling demand near glazed areas. Selected products use precious-metal sputtering or dual-silver multi-layer structures to combine solar control with natural daylight transmission.
Many products provide 99% UV blocking to reduce long-term exposure of skin, eyes, furniture, flooring, curtains, and interior finishes to ultraviolet radiation. Depending on the film type, additional functions may include safety reinforcement, glare control, low reflectivity, glass-fragment retention, and exterior installation capability.
Safety and Optical Performance
Safety-oriented films use high-strength polyester substrates and strong adhesive systems to help retain broken glass after impact or spontaneous breakage. Selected products use 3 mil or 4 mil reinforced structures to provide additional support to architectural glazing.
Optical-grade substrates, low-haze constructions, and dense coatings are used to maintain light transmission and visual clarity. Low-reflectivity products are designed to reduce mirror effects and support more natural viewing conditions during both daytime and nighttime.
Applications
Suitable for houses, villas, apartments, office buildings, commercial complexes, hotels, schools, hospitals, public buildings, display areas, and glass curtain-wall projects. Product selection can be based on building orientation, glazing type, daylight requirements, solar heat-control targets, safety needs, and viewing conditions.
